Marketing began in year of the 1950s at that time people used print radio to recommend products. (Sinhmar, 2015). In addition, after television and the present internet, marketers are conducting campaigns over various platforms. Present-day marketers are very important to enhance product sales and generate revenue.

4p’s Marketing

The 4 Ps marketing analysis offers four key elements containing the procedure of product marketing or service. This is also called a marketing mix, which is used to influence the customers to purchase products in business. So, It will address various aspects like understanding the desires of customers and recognizing the reason for the failure of product sales. (Novak, 2024). In addition, the 4 Ps marketing was introduced by Neil Borden in 1964. He published the idea in the article named “the perception of marketing mix”. The marketing mix is useful for various companies to optimize their product marketing. Product or good and promotion, value, and place are the components of 4PS marketing.

A product is an item or good that achieves the customer’s wants and desires produced by the company. To successfully market a product, the marketer must know the life cycle of the product and use various strategies for each stage in product marketing. Using pinpointing the value will help to understand why buyers want this product. Price is an important factor in marketing, when customers purchase the product goes to a competitor. In addition, Marketers depend on various product research to fix the appropriate cost of the product. It will strengthen product sales and reach huge people. This product will affect various elements like company profit, consequently, and sales capacity.

The Role of Promotion and Place in Marketing

Promotion includes decisions connected to advertising, advertising budget, public relations, and salesforce. The fundamental purpose of promotion is to generate awareness among people about a particular product. (Riserbato, 2023). So, it will help customers to select specific products from the market. In addition, promotions contain advertising, using marketing strategies, and maintaining public relations. Place refers to choosing a place where the products are made accessible for sale. The main purpose of trade channel organization is to ensure the item or good is accessible to buyers at the correct time and correct place. Next is deciding the price for a product, a high price will decrease sales and a low price will increase sales and loss to the business. Before pricing concerns serval elements like budget, production expenses, and competition price analysis to decide a price. Implementing various offerings on products will attract the target customers and generate revenue. Place is where customers purchase products.

Understanding where the target customers are shops will help to choose a platform for marketing. Nowadays social media and online platforms are the most influence on the modern marketing landscape. In addition, next is promotions, which refers to the strategies needed to reach the target customers with a message. Advertising, posting a blog post on social media, and posting videos about products are various strategic ways to attract the target people. A great market strategy needs to change over time. As the product grows, the promotions strategies and places need to change. Monitoring and adjusting the product lifestyle and marketing plan will most probably develop.

Pricing strategy enables companies to enhance product prices to reach the market demand for generate profitability. Understanding buyer behavior, cost structure, competitive landscape, and business will set profitable costs.

The distributing channels allow organizations to recognize the most operative and well-organized supply for the product. Additionally, Businesses are ensuring their goods are available to buyers at the correct time and correct place by selecting enhanced logistics, distributors, and leveraging technology. This approach will help buyers, increase market share, and optimize the product’s reputation. Promotions are facilities for companies to design marketing campaigns, which are effectively grab the buyers. Advertising various platforms will increase public relations and sales promotions. The analysis and research in business will create new innovative thoughts and enhance the production, reaching the customer’s desire. This model is beneficial for organizations and creates more attractive advantages for buyers and high-quality products with more features and competitive prices. Additionally, The 4ps modeling will explore quick results, buyer loyalty, and the organization’s sustainability. Implementing these 4P elements in business will help to differentiate the offering, build effective distribution channels for people, enhance the product prices using various strategies, and develop promotional campaigns.

Drawbacks of 4Ps

The marketing mix refers to four elements such as product, promotion, place, and price. The marketing mix delivers an easy structure and method of marketing. These are not exact full information about the complexities and shades of marketing. Additionally, present corporation environment, marketing decisions are affected by different internal and external factors, which are not recognized by the 4Ps marketing. This marketing only focuses on the basic four elements and it does not address other essential elements of modern marketing like buyer experience, social media, and digital marketing. So, it will cover only a limited scope and marketing strategy effectiveness of the marketing landscape. The marketing mix highlights the importance of reaching buyer needs, but it does not cover the importance of buyer-centric marketing, the modern marketing focuses on generating customer relations, understanding buyer preferences, and providing personalized experience.

Organizations can respond quickly and efficiently to the fast-changing buyer preferences, competitive dynamics, and agile marketing environment, rather than focusing on the relatively stable marketing mix. The marketing mix not delivering the flexibility and agility to make changes. In addition, the marketing elements are treated as various entities, in the end, they give uneven results in marketing efforts. Current integrated marketing is working with different marketing channels and strategies to work cohesively. Additionally, the marketing mix will not fully explore the planning and execution. The marketing mix is developed for traditional marketing and it does not fully grab the complexities and shades of present marketing, emerging channels of marketing, and social media marketing. Furthermore, present days businesses heavily depend on online and digital marketing. So, the marketing mix is less relevant to the present market conditions.

Creating a perfect marking strategy is a complicated procedure. Before requiring a plan first understand product details and design a multifaceted advertising and pricing plan that will interest the target customers. A great way to grow a better marketing mix is the grouping of marketing elements a business uses to roll out the new product that collapses the product by using 4Ps marketing. In addition, A perfect marketing strategy starts with a product offering that must fulfill the customer’s needs and desires. (Bartolacci, 2022). In addition, establishing the new product probable to modification over the product line lifecycle is important for the marketing mix. Market managers and other professionals need to understand about product before they invent greater marketing strategies. Identify and understand the product before developing a strategic marketing mix, it is important for a product to market.

The next product must satisfy the customer’s needs and desires. Marketers must research target customers to know the customer’s wants and their pain points This data will help to make marketing campaigns and also enhance production. (Twin, 2024). Understand the places where the particular product has demand and also point out the retail stores, and online platforms for reaching target audiences. In marketing place plays a key role, for example, using online platforms will be very useful for product purchasing because more people will purchase the product and generate sales. So, if the product is sold in physical mode, the marketer must make sure that the product is available in areas where the buyer base lives and at the store.

Effective Product Pricing Strategies

Next is product pricing, conducting market research about various competitor’s products, validations, and setting valid prices for products that will appeal to target customers. Validation depends on economic data like budget and spending money on manufacturing products expenses of products also considered in pricing. Additionally, depending on the product and target customers, the market plan allows to use of various channels involving traditional marketing methods, digital marketing, and direct marketing. Selecting an effective 4PS mix will take time and effort, but it will satisfy the buyers and generate sales in business.

The 4Ps marketing is a presentation strategy, includinggood or product, price, place, and promotion. These four elements are helpful to how marketers will build effective strategies and these are brought to attract the target people. The four elements of marketing describe different purposes and these elements including planning and advertising of products, interrelate significantly with each other. In addition, the main purpose of this marketing mix is to generate insight into the presentation. Furthermore, the 4Ps marketing helps to understand the basic elements of the market strategy. Lastly, considering all marketing mix elements is a great way to approach a historical marketing strategy.
