In their mechanical lifestyle, how people experience thrilling’s and makes their life happy? its order to overcome this problem, virtual reality arisen with exciting opportunities to entertain the people and to experience fun. The word virtual denotes the digital mirror version of a real thing. Likewise, virtual reality is the term brought to describe the computer based simulated version of realistic world. Jaron Lanier, American virtual illustrator and founder of VPL Research academy has effective participation in virtual reality innovation. Virtual Reality (VR) is an effective technology created its benchmark as like all other technologies in this digital world. The literature review aims to introduce the virtual reality applications and risks associated with society.

The significance of virtual technology landscapes in various field of applications with numerous benefits. The advantages of the virtual technology immersed with many significances. In addition, virtual technology engages with three dimensional objects of digital world and posted with many challenges. Additionally, people with virtual technology feels like magical world with 3D experiences. Furthermore, virtual reality exposes its performance in many industrial areas and extensive use in healthcare sector to treat the phobias. Crucial virtual reality applications were deliberated in terms of elaborating the future trends and turning the fields such as healthcare, manufacturing, architecture, entertaining and academics. Finally, the importance of virtual reality increase all over the world.

Key benefits of the technology

            Computer based virtual technology arisen with multiple advantages interacted with simulated experience. The usage of virtual technology in world is highly immersed. Few of the benefits are:

  • Enhance Visualization: Virtual technology developed with software and hardware packages. The main reason in development is to improve the visible nature with biotechnology. For Example: Person wants to purchase a Pullman, did he buy it with poor visibility? undoubtedly not. As like, virtualization in virtual technology helps people to see the things in three-dimensional what other might not see. It allows them to feel more realistic than in real world.
  • Lack of fear: Virtual technology made up with consistent computer-based replication methods and well doing hardware with airborne simulators. So, it is used to treat the acrophobia and aerophobia disorders. For instance; A person with fear of height use VR headsets which implemented with rift prototypes allows him to see the imaginary 3D height objects in order to decrease his fear. Doctors recommend this objects in order minimize the disease more accurately(Mandal, 2013).

Improvements in VR

Increase immovability: VR gloves used to enhance the immovable nature in human body with optical fibre and sensor mechanism. For example: Person with carpel tunnel syndrome disease and loss of stiffness in fingers, recommend to use data gloves with fibre technology helps them to feel touch sensations and used to measure finger movements with the help of sensors in order to improve blood pressure in hands or finger postures and increases the immovable nature in fingers.

  • Improves Self-learning: Virtual technology in learning algorithms helps students to clutch the complex concepts quickly. VR devices with gyroscope capability improves the innovation in anatomical shape of learning media. Virtual reality increases theoretical and practical knowledge of students with its visualization ability. Virtual training methods improves the psychological impact on learning and understanding capability about the future work. VR techniques improve the confident level of learning and accuracy in students (Magar & Suk, 2020).
  • Enhance skill development: Virtual technology with augmented reality creates a path way to improves the soft skills much faster than others. VR improves the ability to engage learning outcomes. Many firms using virtual technology allows their employees to develop soft skills in order to increase the confidence in decision making. Virtual tools implement skill trainings to offers prospects for beginners and also increase immersive learning point of views. Not only developing skill trainings, VR used to create job opportunities for unemployed peoples.

            Virtual Reality immersed with many applications. It, virtual technology applied in multiple areas where there is human attempt to achieve better results. Few of the applications are discussed below:

  • Army Military Force: VR technology plays a great role in the field of military. Military soldiers were trained by virtual simulation devices. Virtual Flying simulators are used by the army force in the field of battle to defeat the enemies. Virtual training help soldiers to learn the effective use of simulators and engage skills in the ground of battle. Virtual navy simulators and submarine simulators helps to communicate under water and access to play tactical scenarios.   • Entertainment Field: Most of virtual technology being used in the field of entertainment like playing video games and seeing movie in playhouses. Today, many companies are developing videogames with virtual technology in order to grasp the interest of the peoples and children’s and reduce the stress level makes them to enjoy the imaginary world. Virtual technology now becoming an important factor in development of smartphones to reduce the complexity in usage. VR allows to play a movie in 360 degrees as likely with the interest of audience.

Applications of VR in Education and Training

  • Virtual reality used in training sector to develop cost effective training and enhances the development of training skills. VR develops its significant nature in the field of academics to make the students highly talented. Virtual visualization helps them to figure out in-depthless in subject and providing guidance in the field trips. In medical field, virtual reality helps to determine the practical implementation of the surgeries and used to reduce the phobias with many virtual technical devices. Professionals in medical healthcare using virtual replication to practice the surgical treatment and rehabilitation conferences for psychological disorder persons(Fitria, 2023).
  • Travel and Tourism: Virtual trips improve the travel experiences, allows tourists and peoples to drive the portable performance in social activities. Virtual technology creates advancements in tourism field in order to reach the destinations with fulfilment desires.
  • Automotive and building a design: In Automotive sector, virtual technology helps people in designing and implementing automobiles with virtual visuals. Virtual reality helps to shorten the time plan of construction. Likewise, Virtual technology help designers to develop a visual house with latest innovative technology and allows to change the real-time applications to achieve customer loyalty(Kugell, 2021).

 Key challenges of Virtual Reality

            Despite of benefits, virtual reality faces many challenges in the advancement and developing stages of technology. The most important challenges are developing in developing hardware and software components. Few challenges are:

            Many companies developing virtual tracking systems in their devices. The latency in developing tracking technology is the biggest challenge of virtual reality. The tracking mechanism in virtual technology made up by the input devices and reduce the time to develop virtual spaces in between the digital devices. Some companies not showing to develop tracking technology with input devices because of additional costs. It takes a more time in order to implement virtual environments with virtual tracking systems and required a management team of designers to develop a replicated version of virtual space accurately.

Another hardware challenges are feedback devices with best quality of display screens. Additionally, lack of accessibility and implications of costs. Virtual technology devices are high to purchase due to its quality performance components. People with low income might get suffer to invest the capitals on virtual reality devices. With the rise of technology, accessibility of devices also increases. To access the device, people should be likely encountered with environmental activities. Another Challenge is complexity in devices as virtual technology mixes with many technologies.

Technical Challenges of Virtual Reality

            Additional important challenge is limit of technologies; virtual reality is still in progressed to implement specifications technology. So, it is difficult to troubleshoot the viruses and getting right technical sustenance due to lack of adjustments in technology. Few of the software challenges are; difficulty in graphical programming of virtual reality and complexities in three-dimensional objects and also difficulty in voice assistant. It is necessity to understand the human factors while developing a device with virtual technology, because devices with virtual technologies are developing with high performance so, there is a chance to get headaches and neck pains due to continuously usage of devices. Virtual reality technology work on high-speed networks and it requires higher bandwidth units. Higher bandwidth sometimes breaks the network in order to get delaying displaying the images according to the human movements.

One more important challenge is lack of investment in productivity, many companies showing interest to purchase the technology. But the developing cost of technology is very high so, small companies with less revenue dropped out the decision of purchasing the virtual reality and choosing different technology. So, these is the one of the reasons for virtual reality not getting into light. Researchers figuring out the solution for these challenges and developing the technology with more advanced tools and techniques (Hamad & Jia, How Virtual Reality Technology Has Changed Our Lives: An Overview of the Current and Potential Applications and Limitations, 2022). 

Recommendation to successfully implement the applications

            The literature review provides a document on virtual reality application. For successfully implementation of virtual reality in the field of medical and healthcare therapy process, education and entertainment some of the steps are given below;

To implement virtual reality in healthcare therapy, recommended to use VR based exposure therapy in subsequent sessions based on the phobias like aerophobia, acrophobia, agoraphobia. Patients with agoraphobia suggested to perform Virtual reality exposure therapy on personal computers during 8 to 12 sessions. Person with aerophobia, suggested to make 11 sessions of VRET for successfully treatment (Krzystanek, et al., 2021).

            While implementing virtual reality in education sector, it is better to identify the learning purposes and selecting appropriate virtual reality components depends upon their requirements. So, it is responsibility of management, to train their faculties familiar to the technology and creating appropriate content to discover the virtual reality platforms. Before implementing virtual reality, it is better to free up the space for VR apparatuses order to make better experiences for students and leveraging the exclusive landscapes of virtual reality. So, instructing the guidelines about the safety measurements and usage of virtual technology to assess the profitable results (Ranjan, n.d.).

            Before Implementing virtual reality in film industry, recommend to make pre-picturing and scheduling to shot the film with virtual resources. Better to make ongoing supportive team with effective alignment goals. Ensure to implement the safe and secure virtual reality environment and it is recommended to use the virtual reality more than 13 years old people.

            To conclude, virtual reality expanded its evolution in many industries and printed its benchmark in society with multiple benefits. The benefits of virtual reality determined the nature of the future improvement of technology. Inclusively, virtual reality still in processing stage with advancements in order to overcome the difficulties and risks. With a hope of overcoming the real-time challenges, VR implemented long term opportunities to the users and also determined the recommendations of technology It is also called as stress buster technology with its visual effects. So, the future of the VR technology is bright with lots of applications and advancements. Virtual technology created an imaginary cartoonist creation replicated to the real-world.
